Does port orange have a dark side ?

 
Did four no votes in a row by the port orange commission at last evening’s meeting reveal a dark side to Port Orange ?
First the commission denied permission to a struggling family who wanted to remove a massive tree hanging over their trailer park home.
Next they declined to enact  the  Amendment 11 property tax credit for the poorest of the poor who are  managing to stay in their own homes. Then they passed an ordinance prohibiting those who had already lost their homes from being able to sleep in their vehicles, and finally they delighted in passing a resolution stating that there was no municipal property in port orange suitable for affordable housing.
On a positive note they did agree to reduce permit and inspection fees for their favored developers.
