PD: Accused robber jumps from bridge into Halifax River
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. —Police in Daytona Beach said an accused armed robber wanted to get away so badly that he jumped from a bridge into the Halifax River early Saturday.
Authorities said Reginald Young Jr. and Latravia McGill were on bikes when they robbed a woman at gunpoint on Peninsula Drive near Main Street
The two are accused of taking the woman’s purse and threatening to shoot her and her friend.
Young jumped into the river and had to be pulled out. He and McGill were arrested.
