Port Orange Warehouse Owner Arrested For Growing Marijuana

PORT ORANGE —
A business owner was arrested after police in Volusia County found a marijuana growing operation inside his coffee shop.
Port Orange Police say on Sunday they received a tip from an employee at East Coast Roasters Coffee located at 413 Oak Place that marijuana was being grown inside a room of the business.
Port Orange Police Detectives obtained a search warrant and discovered a locked room with several marijuana plants growing inside. Police confiscated the plants that were in various stages of growth.
On Thursday the Port Orange Police Department Special Investigation Unit obtained an arrest warrant for the owner of the business, 48-year-old Christopher Brown.
Brown was arrested at his home in Ponce Inlet and charged with cultivation of cannabis and possession of cannabis over 20 grams. His bond was set at $20,000.00.
