Florida sales tax holiday to start next week

CENTRAL FLORIDA —
The back-to-school sales tax holiday is next weekend. The state is making it easier this year for families to save money.
This year, in addition to school supplies and clothing, electronics are on the list of tax-free.
Laptops, e-book readers and tablets are included in the items that will be available tax-free. With some of those items selling for hundreds of dollars, the cost savings can be substantial.
“You have routers. You have, hard drives, flash memory. All those total things for your storage, even the computer, even headphones are included in the tax-free [list],” said Steven Downes of Best Buy.
A single computer, or related accessory, cannot cost more than $750 to qualify for tax-free.
