Family of Port Orange woman killed in hit-and-run wants answers

PORT ORANGE, Fla. —
The family of a woman hit and killed in Port Orange says police aren’t doing enough to find who did it.
Leona Daniluk, 78, was hit and killed in April while she was crossing the street at the intersection of White Street and Ridgewood Avenue.
Loved ones said they are hoping surveillance video collected from the victim’s doctor’s office will be the evidence they need.
Daniluk’s son-in-law Mike Melnicoff said words can’t describe surveillance video that shows a driver slamming into Daniluk as she crossed the street.
“You see someone walk across the street and hit by a vehicle, hit 30, 40 feet across the street. It’s a terrible sight,” said Melnicoff
Investigators said 21-year-old Nicole Nagrani was driving a Porsche SUV that killed Daniluk, but haven’t charged anyone with a crime.
