Every 6 months Port Orange Police Department in the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back.
However, there are times in between this event when people need to dispose of their unwanted medication. The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office has designed five (5) district offices around the county as week- day drop off sites.
The medicine will be sealed, transported to a secure evidence storage facility and then sent out for destruction.

  • * 101 E. Canal Street, New Smyrna Beach

Volusia County residents who want to make arrangements for the Sheriff’s Office to pick up their unwanted medicine at their home can call one of the following numbers:
