Former corrections officer wanted sex with child, police officers say

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. —A retired Orange County corrections officer, who now lives in Port Orange, is accused of trying to engage in sex with a child, according to police officers in Daytona Beach.
Detectives said a six-month investigation into child sex solicitation led to the arrest of 67-year-old Robert Slavin.
Slavin apparently believed he was in contact with a 14-year-old girl, but was actually talking to undercover officers online.
Detectives said Slavin performed a sex act on a web cam during the investigation.
They said he was also sexually explicit with what he expected from the “minor.”
Slavin was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail on child sex charges
