Thief threatened teens with gun, South Daytona police say
SOUTH DAYTONA, Fla. —A man who robbed two teenagers at gunpoint is sought by police officers in South Daytona.
Officers said Thursday that they know the man they are looking for.
Kevin Cutlip, 23, is wanted on theft and assault charges and another outstanding warrant.
Officers said Cutlip pulled a gun on a 17- and 18-year-old as they rode skateboards on Chicago Avenue.
Cutlip demanded the teens’ cash and cellphones, and then told them to run, according to detectives. Officers said the suspect disappeared in a nearby convenience store.
Cutlip was already wanted on a warrant of domestic violence by strangulation.
Officers distributed a photo of Cutlip. They said anyone who knows of his whereabouts should contact authorities.
