Port Orange man 'lost his cool' after finding wife in bed with other man, cops say

PORT ORANGE, Fla. –
A Port Orange man has been arrested on aggravated assault charges after deputies say he “lost his cool” when he found his wife in bed with another man.
Kevin Montalto, 44, was arrested late Wednesday night when deputies say he broke the bedroom window with a knife after seeing his wife in bed with another man.
Montalto told deputies he received a call from a friend saying that another man was going into his house. When Montalto arrived and saw his wife and the man in bed together, he stuck his arm through the window and waved a knife at them, saying he was going to kill them both, according to the report.
Montalto also challenged the man to a fight and said he had a gun, deputies said. Montalto’s wife, who has been married to Montalto for 11 or 12 years, said she was afraid her husband was going to come into the house and hurt her and the other man.
Montalto said he didn’t threaten anyone and pointed deputies to his knife in his car.
Deputies took him to Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, where he received 20 stitches. He was then taken to  Volusia County jail.
