Thank you Steve,
It would appear you have forwarded some generic product data sheets for an industrial grade Fluoride containing a bold letter disclaimer that reads in part
“……. NO WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, OR ANY OTHER WARRANTY IS EXPRESSED OR IS IMPLIED REGARDING THE
ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF THIS INFORMATION, THE RESULTS TO BE OBTAINED
FROM THE USE OF THIS INFORMATION OR THE PRODUCT, THE SAFETY OF THIS PRODUCT,
OR THE HAZARDS RELATED TO ITS USE. THIS INFORMATION AND PRODUCT ARE
FURNISHER ON THE CONDITION THAT THE PERSON RECEIVING THEM SHALL MAKE THEIR
OWN DETERMINATION AS TO THE SUITABILITY OF THE PRODUCT FOR THEIR PARTICULAR
PURPOSE AND ON THE CONDITION THEY ASSUME THE RISK OF THEIR USE
THEREOF……..”
Clearly that is not the information I am seeking.
What I have requested are specific product safety certifications supporting the assertion that the Fluoride your department is recommending be placed in the drinking water supply of Port Orange residents is safe for human consumption.
Please advise if you are unable to provide such safety certifications as the Fluoride your department is recommending is not of pharmaceutical grade quality found in toothpaste or supplements, but rather is an unpurified by-product likely collected by the air pollution wet scrubbers of the phosphate fertilizer industry.

Donna,
I notice on the agenda for Tuesday evening, Council will be asked to approve the purchase of Hydroflousilicic Acid ( Fluoride ) from Harcross Chemicals.
As staff is recommending approval of this purchase would you send over a copy of the product safety certification(s) that Utilities has received for this product Hydroflousilicic Acid( Fluoride ) from Harcross Chemicals.
