Thank you Robin,
Why am I not surprised.
Not only is the settlement agreement not exempt,  so too is the communication accompanying that document not exempt.
Please produce both immediately lest Port Orange be reported for failure to comply with public disclosure statutes.

I have made the request for information with James Hicks. Margaret has called me and said all written communications for a mediation other than the settlement agreement are exempt from public disclosure laws. She is doing some further research as well. I will be in touch.

Thanks  Robin,
This secret government is odious to our representative democracy and it must stop.  How dare relevant communication be withheld  from the people and their representatives.
I have a good idea  what is being attempted to be hidden and why.  So let’s make this simple.

Please provide a copy of all communication regarding the water billing  matter between Port Orange and DBS for the past 90 days.
Thanks
Ted

I just looked at the agenda packet for the City of Daytona Beach Shores 9/24/13 meeting but there are no materials included about the offer. There paperwork just says
Discussion regarding City of Port Orange mediation results
I’ll ask them for their materials.

Thanks Robin,
Greg’s answer makes no sense.
On 10-05-2013 Margaret wrote Lonnie Groot and I quote;   “I understand that the City Council for the City Of Daytona Beach Shores in their meeting of  September 24, 2013 approved the following Offer”
Now I am not an ICMA  credentialed CM but even I can figure out that  “whatever”  the DBS Council approved on 09-24-2013  it was not an e-mail from Margaret that did not exist  until 11 days later.
So one more time.  Does   “Whatever”  the DBS Council approved at their  09-24-2013 council meeting,  { and which Margaret referred to as  an “Offer, “ and which is further referred to in the agenda commentary as  “their Offer of Settlement, ”   “the proposed offer”  and  “the offer” }  exist as a public record in Port Orange ??

If such a document  exists I would like a  copy.

Hope you had a great weekend also.

Ted

I just spoke to Greg. The offer is attached to the agenda item. It’s an email from Margaret to Mr. Groot dated October 5, 2013. It appears it was exempt until presented to City Council.
Have a great weekend.

Robin,
In Margaret’s commentary accompanying  agenda item # 30 she references DBS as having   ” approved the following Offer ”
Is there a written  offer?,   and if so would you please send me a copy.
Ted
