PORT ORANGE POLICE WARN OF POLICE FUNDRAISING SCAM
The Port Orange Police Department is warning its residents about a scam involving bogus telephone solicitations that claim to raise money for the Port Orange Police Department.
The Port Orange Police Department Crime Prevention Office has received reports recently from the public about receiving calls from someone claiming to be raising funds for the Port Orange Police Department. The Port Orange Police Department would like to express that it DOES NOT solicit for donations through the mail or by phone, and that anyone who receives such a call should not donate money or relay any personal or financial information to the caller.
