Tonight !!!!

Bill of Rights Workshop Tuesday, February 4th, 2014 at 5:30 in Council Chambers at City Hall
TONIGHT!!!
We need Port Orange homeowners to come out tonight and speak to the city council and staff about this Bill. The proposed language is weak and vague.  PDF attached.  It would be easy language to parse by the city.  Bob Ford told us many cities have strong Bills of Rights in place for the protection of homeowners and neighborhoods.  We need strong specific language in this bill that will hold the city and developers accountable.  We need protection from developers coming in and destroying property values with their commercial installations, removing trees and vegetation in an unfettered manner, running their commercial traffic on our residential streets, and diminishing forever the quality of our lives and our ability to enjoy our homes in peace.  Without a Bill of Rights, scenarios like the Powers Avenue/Ruth Street and the Masci Corporation area debacles will continue to happen.
