Thank you Robin for all you do,
But, you best put me down for that snail mail service until Council directs its volunteer boards to comply with what the Manager is now requiring.
There is a fundamental principle at stake here and that is, just as the Manager cannot direct or compel Council to abide by his wishes neither can he do so with the volunteer boards they establish and appoint and that serve at their pleasure.
The Manager has never apprised Council in open session as to what he is attempting to accomplish or why, AND until he chooses to do so he should redirect the zeal and hard deadlines he is attempting to impose on Councils advisory boards TO HIS OWN STAFF.

Just a friendly reminder to read the attached policy and return the Acknowledgement Form, along with any public records you may have to me by 5:00 p.m. today if you haven’t done so already. A scanned copy emailed to me will work as long as the original follows in the mail or via hand delivery soon thereafter. Please remember to have it witnessed prior to forwarding to me.
Email communications of Board matters will stop completely beginning Monday, February 10, 2014 for those who have not returned the Acknowledgement Form. Hard copies will be provided via regular mail instead.

Good afternoon all:
Please see the attached letter from City Manager Kisela and the Electronic Information Systems Use Policy for Board Members. The acknowledgement form must be signed and returned to me as soon as possible. Also attached is a list of each member and the new email address being assigned to you.
You may go to: http://mail.port-orange.org to log into your e-mail box. Once logged in, it is extremely important that you change your password. You can do this by clicking ‘Options’ in the upper right-hand corner, and selecting ‘Change Your Password’ in the drop down box. The password will be required to meet our complexity requirements (Minimum 8 characters, upper case letters, lower case letters, digits and/or symbols). Please contact me directly for your password. Please do not hit Reply All.
Please be advised that the email you all received from HR with a similar Policy and acknowledgement form is incorrect. That one was the employee policy. Attached is the correct policy for Agency, Board, and Commission Members. Please read it, sign the acknowledgement form and return it to me along with any public records you may have in your possession pursuant to Mr. Kisela’s letter.
