NO Port Orange homeowner received the benefit of any free water. ONLY the Mayor and 3 Developers got the benefit of thousands of dollars of free water via this recent ordinance

You can bet your sweet bippy you are reading that correctly, AND if you were following closely you may have noticed that
Mayor ‘tough love got to pay for every gallon used’ Green was UN-characteristically sympathetic to the water bill reduction request from Danielle Gonzalez that was heard by Council at their Feb 4th meeting.
Now we know why. His problem had to be taken care of 2 weeks later.
Even by Port Orange standards the hypocrisy and double standards in this one are startling.

I googled Port Orange Reclaimed Coverage Map and low and behold it appears that the only customer on Jackson St is the Mayor. Did the Mayor pay for the transmission main to his front door or was this another inside favor. If the City has a surplus of 600,000 gallons per day as portrayed at the recent workshop I am sure other citizens would be happy to use this luxury if it were provided to them. My subdivision would gladly embrace the opportunity for reclaimed irrigation water. Is there anybody else out there that would like free or low cost irrigation? Hmmmm ?
