"The council’s ruling was that the subject water account be (decreased) from $893.96" Why the delay?
Robin,
The subject matter was heard by the Port Orange City Council on 2/4/14.
The council’s ruling was that the subject water account be adjusted (decreased) from $893.96 to an amount reflective of the average monthly usage over the previous year – approximately 5,000 to 6,000 gallons.
This adjustment has not yet been applied to the account.
The account holder had previously made several interim partial payments against the $893.96 in order to avoid an interruption in service and would likely not need to make a water payment for 4 or 5 months after this adjustment is applied. This issue has had a profound effect on the account holder’s budget and would like to see the adjustment made as soon as possible to allow them to get their budget back in order.
Please look into this issue and insure the adjustment is made as soon as possible.
Please call if you have any questions.
Thank you.
