Subject: FW: Port Orange Middle School Representing the Entire State of Florida at an International Robotics Competition

Good Afternoon Port Orange City Council,
I am assisting the coaches of Team Green, the Creekside Middle School Robotics Team, with spreading the word about Team Green and their success.  A letter is attached that outlines the First Lego League program that the team has participated in.  They won Grand Champion at their Qualifying and Regional tournaments.  Two weeks ago, they won the State Championship and will now be representing the entire State of Florida at the International tournament in Toronto in June.  We would love the opportunity for the kids to show you what they have done and to talk about whether the City might be willing to make a modest contribution to help the team defray the costs of the trip.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Team Green

Just wanted to share this with you, can we recognize this accomplishment at a meeting?
