Daytona Beach named among America's most dangerous small cities
DAYTONA BEACH —
A study has named four small cities in Florida, including Daytona Beach, among the 10 most dangerous small cities in the entire country.
Daytona Beach came in as the No. 7 most dangerous city in America, according to a report released Wednesday by Movoto Real Estate.
“Daytona Beach ranked eighth overall when it came to property crime, with 5,367 per 100,000 residents,” Movoto said.
Pensacola was ranked sixth on the list, and the Florida cities of Homestead (Miami-Dade County) and Lauderhill (Broward County) were tied for eighth.
Wilmington, Delaware was name the nation’s No. 1 most dangerous city. Researchers said Wilmington outranked 233 other cities in violent crime.
