Port Orange Police Find Meth Lab in Home with Infant, 2 Children.

PORT ORANGE, Fla. —Port Orange police said they found a meth lab inside a home where two children under the age of 16 and an infant were living.
On Monday, police searched the home in the 5000 block of Pineland Avenue and found methamphetamine lab equipment, methamphetamine oil, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Jeffrey Kuyk, 34, and Tammy Chavis, 30, were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine with a child under 16 present, trafficking in methamphetamine over 28 grams, possession of cannabis under 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kuyk and Chavis were booked into the Volusia County Jail on a $64,500 bond each.
The Volusia County Methamphetamine Task Force aided in the removal and disposal of the drugs.
