All Children’s Playground Re-Opened In Port Orange
Port Orange, FL – Port Orange held a re-opening ceremony for the All Children’s Playground at All Children’s Park on April 10.
Around $230,000 worth of new features was on display in a ceremony on Thursday, April 10 at the playground location on 5959 South Spruce Creek Road.
Among the new items kids will now be able to play on includes a pirate ship and splash pads. The surface area around the playground has also been refurbished.
Phase II of the playground renovation project was recently completed by Play More West, Inc. The costs for the new phase of the All Children’s Park was paid for with Volusia ECHO grant money.
Immediately following the ceremony was a neighborhood meeting focused on neighborhoods east of Nova Road and southeast of Taylor Road and South Williamson Boulevard. The neighborhoods east of Nova Road are represented by Bob Ford of District 1 and the ones southeast of Taylor Road and South Williamson Boulevard are covered by Dennis Kennedy of District 4.
Mayor Allen Green and other City Council members were expected to be in attendance to talk about current issues, projects, and answer any questions citizens might have.
