Woman drove drunk into railroad crossing arms in Port Orange

PORT ORANGE, Fla. —A woman in Port Orangeis accused of driving drunk and crashing into railroad crossing arms before abandoning her car while it was still running.
Police say Sindy Cruz-Reyes, 27, was found walking near the scene of the crash in Port Orange on Dunlawton Avenue just before 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Cruz-Reyes admitted to having drinks before leaving work, losing control of the car and crashing, police said.
According to police, she ran because she didn’t want to get in trouble.
The railroad crossing arm was uprooted and pushed 25 feet, police said.
Cruz-Reyes was charged with driving under the influence, DUI with damage to person or property and leaving the scene of a crash with more than $50 in property damage
