smileyWayne/Kristine,
I just got a call from the Mayor regarding a citizen who called him to compliment the service he received from Caitlin in the Customer Service Department.  The citizen said that it was a “breeze” doing business with her and wanted to let the Mayor know how satisfied he was.  The Mayor asked me to pass this information on to you and thank Caitlin for her good work.
Thank you,
Cindy

Is it possible that this is just a shill type message generated in the read file by the Mayor in cahoots with the City Manager to get some good PR postings published on your blog?
We already know that most of our rank and file city employees are dedicated and do a good job every day. But we do not recall seeing any of these type messages by the Mayor in the city read file before. It is hard to believe that the Mayor has never received any compliments for a city employee previously.
Nonetheless, Thank you Kaitlin on the good job you are doing.

I almost laughed out loud when I read this blog. It’s so obvious that upper management and the Mayor are trying their darndest to convey how much they think of their employees. . It’s a juvenile attempt to turn the unpleasant blogs into something all sweet and fluffy….which is certainly the Mayors usual diversionary tactic. I was in customer service dealing with the public for over 35 years and did a good job. That’s what’s required and I’m sure that this lady is doing a very good job.too. GIVE US A BREAK.
