seniorCitizenTed,
The mayor and manager seem to echo each other and are now very much in tune and comfortable with each other. It is almost like they rehearse together. The other three members are left turning their heads at each other while you get shuffled back to your seat. You walk back and the three that were turning their heads now have a puzzled look on their faces as we quickly race forward to the next item for discussion. They too have a right to speak to your requests. They are being disrespected also.
Your questions are intelligent, fact based and absolutely worthy of an answer. You certainly do your homework. I often get lost in your pursuit of financial records as I do not fully understand them but the time you devote is certainly appreciated.

Correct me if I am wrong, but can’t a city council member
speak up and have a dialogue with a citizen who appears before the city council, or is that not allowed by the chair person and the rules of the city council?

    Hank,
That is a great question that would help me to understand the process. I hope we can get some factual feedback on this. If Council can’t speak then we need reform. I thought it was a Council of 5 that I voted for.
