2014 National Night Out with Port Orange Police Department

June 19, 2014
Good Morning,
PO-PD
The Port Orange Police Department would like to extend a cordial invitation to you and your business to participate in our annual “National Night Out Against Crime” event.  This event will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  We will be joining communities from around the nation to celebrate our “award winning” 9th Annual National Night Out Against Crime Block Party which will be held at the Port Orange Lakeside Pavilion and the Kenneth W. Parker Amphitheater.  We welcome your business to be part of this national award winning event.
National Night Out is designed to heighten citizen’s awareness of crime prevention measures, strengthen neighborhood spirit and enhance police-community partnerships.  The most important stand we can take as a community is to send the criminal element a message letting them know that neighborhoods are fighting back.  We ask that our community come together and participate with us to fight for a safer city, state and nation.
Members of the Port Orange Police Department Traffic Unit, K-9 teams, Emergency Response Team, and Marine Unit will be on hand to answer questions and otherwise interact with our citizens. There will be food and fun for all ages.  The event is FREE to the general public. A table and two chairs will be provided FREE of charge to our vendors.  Vendors may bring their own tents.  If you wish to participate this year, please contact Crime Prevention Officer Serena Besuden at 386-506-5822 or by emailsbesuden@port-orange.org. The timeliness of responses is essential so proper publicity may be provided.  Deadline to RSVP: July 15th, 2014. Rain date will be Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 6pm- 8pm.
 Sincerely,
Gerald M. Monahan, Jr.                                                                                Officer Serena Besuden
