Tropical Storm Arthur emerges off Florida coast (5 inches of rain for area?)

OUTLOOK: Tropical Storm Arthur has strengthened in the past few hours, packing top winds of 60 mph. The system is projected to strengthen into a hurricane on Thursday and aim toward North Carolina’s Outer Banks.
WHAT FLORIDA CAN EXPECT: Much of the state’s east coast should see numerous showers and storms Wednesday, and the rain could be heavy at times.
The system could produce up to 5 inches of rain over east-central Florida, the National Hurricane Center said. It also could produce dangerous rip currents up and down the state’s east coast, the Florida Division of Emergency Management said.
FLORIDA ALERTS: A tropical storm watch has been posted from Sebastian Inlet to Flagler Beach.
