Is The coalition of Burnette, Kennedy and Green in danger of falling apart ?

newJournalHi Mike,
I know Greg didn’t personally address you at last night’s meeting but outside he told me you were one of the two public officials named in his letter regarding personal attacks. I wanted to get a response from you.
Do you think your email regarding his record’s request was threatening or harassing him in any way?   Absolutely not.  I wrote my email after meeting with Mr Kisela Friday morning about another matter and in that meeting we were very cordial, if not friendly.  As I said in my email I feel that requesting Ted’s personal computers and cell phones is not something he has a right to do and it would require a judge’s order of some kind.  At the end of my email I even said that if Dianne and I get to the panhandle in the future (something we like to do) we will try to visit Mr Kisela at a Destin City Council meeting!  How much friendlier can I be?
Do you think Noftall should be removed from the A&B board?  Absolutely not.  The move by Don Burnette and Dennis Kennedy to remove Ted is entirely political in motivation.  The coalition of Burnette, Kennedy and Green is in danger of falling apart after the next election unless they can ensure that one of their “candidates of choice” can replace Kennedy or Ford.  Attacking Ted and Bob Ford the way it was done is politics at its lowest and shows why Sonya Laney is known as “Low-Blow Laney.”
Was hoping to get a response from you. Thanks  Any time!
Mike

So Ted questions the legality of Kisela’s information request and Mike says if we are up in your area traveling maybe we’ll stop by and say hi are construed as threats. Great theatrics. The Gerry Springer show comes to mind or maybe some low rate reality TV show. Our Ex CM is a real classy guy for real. You gotta love him. Can you say sour grapes? Sure I knew you could. Can you say dirty politics? Sure I knew you could. We have such a great mayor and Ex mayor and such a great candidate for district one. I wonder if they could be construed as embarrassments to themselves and the city. Can you say low blow? Sure I knew you could. Can you say disgusting? Sure I knew you could. Nasty business for sure. It’s a wonderful day in the neighborhood.

The mayor, the ex-mayor, and the vice mayor used a public forum at last night’s council meeting as a political endorsement, and a ploy to harm the opposition’s political career. This mayor and vice mayor are both enemies of open governance. The vice mayor’s scripted anathema of Ted Noftall will backfire on him when Green’s seat is open. I think Don Burnette committed political suicide in this feeble ploy.

      I agree Dr. Wu
The old guard is disturbed. The days of blissful ignorance are gone forever. Special interests in Port Orange are very upset. I think Mayor Green has a lot of influence and therefore power. Perhaps he can call this circus off? Any way, it sure does take away from negative issues that still have to be fixed in city government, doesn’t it? I am still a Ted Noftall supporter but think he should step down, and not fight city hall on their turf. It is like a sword dual in the Emperor’s castle, and the Emperor’s old guard know all of the nook and crannies of in fighting on their turf. Ted within this royal elitist chess game is being treated like an expendable pawn in the battle of save the legacy of the emperor (king). I call for Ted to withdraw from that castle of rogue cardinals and spies, and fight city hall on the people’s turf. Ted needs to defend all the “bad citizens” in Port Orange and not defend the so called integrity of (may I for a moment get rude? ass kissing boards). Ted, fight on our turf. You don’t need to be used as a pawn for distraction by those rogue elitists. But I must say, you did get the old guard to come out of their blissful days of ignorance to take you on. Good for you. But leave the castle and come out back to the people who appreciate you in the streets and neighborhoods of Port Orange. You are still valuable to us all, leave city hall and claim your rights as citizen and throw off the shackles of being associated with Port Orange City Hall in any way. How many of top administrators have left the castle because they knew it was in danger of being seized by the people and reclaimed for the people? Green would like to leave, I think, but the Grand Master Developer will not yet release him from his vows of obedience.
