Port Orange woman convicted in murder of her mother

Jennifer Huntington, arrested Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, is charged with first-degree murder after Port Orange police say she strangled her mother, Fabian Huntington, to death.

PORT ORANGE —
A Volusia County woman has been convicted in the strangling death of her mother.
The State Attorney’s Office said Jennifer Kate Huntington, 35, entered a ‘no contest’ plea to Second Degree Murder and Aggravated Abuse of an Elderly Person or Disabled Adult.
The Port Orange Police Department said Huntington killed her mother, 62-year-old Fabian Huntington, on January 3, 2013 at her home on the 700 block of Rampart Drive.
An autopsy revealed she was strangled to death.
Huntington faces up to life in prison.
An all-day sentencing hearing is scheduled to take place January 15, 2015.
