Take a look at the photo section of the link below and meet the new Interim Assistant City Manager. Who was on the panel to choose him anyhow? Another six figure temporary appointment. Maybe we can hire Kisela and company as consultants. We always need consultants.

OMG, another New Yorker, the last New Yorker we hired to senior management was Bob Ford and we all know how much problems he caused for our way of life. Mr. Harden please call the Mayor and explain…

To We Will Rise Again…what are you some sort of regional racist??? Your remark is stupid.
If all of the New Yorkers and New Jersey and New England people pulled up stakes and left Port Orange you’d be in a hell of a mess not to mention Midwesterners, Californians, etc, etc. If you recall, the South lost the war and will not rise again and I’d like to have you elucidate all of the problems that Bob Ford caused???? Also please explain “our way of life”?
Hooka, tooka my soda cracker…does your mama chaw tobacca?

Lynn, you are probably right and I apologize but remarks like that burn me up because a lot of people think this way.

Shouldn’t we be waiting until there is a permanent City Manager hired and then let him select his own staff??? This sounds to me like one of those backdoor deals again.

Look at the date that Rosen’s interim contract runs to. It is the same time that Harden is tentatively leaving. Is it possible that Harden is starting to feel the heat of trying to keep up a façade of transparency while attempting to deceive the activists and cover Allen Green’s ass on the Halifax Paving and the berm flooding issue? Is Harden getting an interim in place because the senile old man is ready to shag his ass out of here prematurely and back to his Victorian mansion in Delray Beach?

I think Mr. Harden needs to do some explaining at the next council meeting, namely who is Alan Rosen, where did he suddenly appear from, what are his credentials, why is he hiring him at this time as an Interim assistant city manager???
Unless I’m mistaken, if we dig far enough into his background we’ll find that Mr. Rosen has ties to
someone who can perhaps put him in a position to take over as Manager when Harden leaves? This smells suspiciously like a backdoor conspiracy.
Why are we wasting taxpayers money on INTERIM city employees? ..Am I wrong or just being paranoid?

    Re: Mad Scientist
I think you are spot on in your assessment. Where did this guy come from ? Why now ? He has the “interim” title as well ?

I think Harden hired him because he wants out fast. To date Harden’s hiring methodology and practices have beeb moronic. Similar to his hiring practices in Winter Park which caused the city commisioners there to give him his walking papers. Remember, contrary to their directives, Harden and his public utilities director hired two contract employees which were the two highest paid city employees after himself. Not only did he do this against the city commisions will, but it turns out that the two contract employees were friends of his that attended his church. Yes, they were his brothers in the faith, just google it and see for yourself. He must have entered into one of his deep prayer vigils to seek inspiration for that decision similar to his latest vigils for inspirational hiring.
