City Manager Port Orange ….
Good morning, …
I’m emailing you regarding the reports from Kemper Management on the Cypress Head Golf Course.
Last night, it was brought up by ‘Citizens’ for a Better Port Orange’ that there have been very unsanitary conditions according to state inspections at the golf course restaurant. These are public inspections and management is made aware of these inspections.
Please provide answers to my following questions. I would like to interview someone with the city on camera. Can someone be made available?
-Was the city’s Parks and Recreation Department and Director made aware of the poor inspections?
-If not, why wasn’t she made aware?
-If she was made aware, then why were they not brought up to the interim city manager, asst. manager, or during last night’s meetings?
-Why wasn’t the poor state inspection results brought up by Kemper Sports Management in any case, whether city management was made aware of the poor inspections or not?
-And regardless , these inspections are posted online for everyone in the public to see, why did it take a group of citizens to bring this up publicly when the city is considering $1.6 million dollars to renovate the facility?
-Is the city moving forward with its renovation plans and will the city continue to work with KSM to manage the facility?
We will be running a story on this today. My deadline is 2pm. I appreciate your time.
