it is written that the finance department answered multiple requests for public information. That might be 10 or that might be 100. Please in the future relay the accurate information.
And I also direct a suggestion to the city council members: When you speak of being contacted by many citizens about an issue, please give us the number: 3 or 30.
I post on my web site that I have about 75 visits a day to the web site, and 204 followers on twitter.
Nothing hard about that, but advantageous when we want to report activity important enough to be written or stated.
I ask all to work just a tiny, little bit harder at truly being transparent. A little goes a long way to thwart skepticism.

Excerpt of CM read file – I will be out of town Thursday, Friday and Monday. Alan Rosen will be Acting City Manager in my absence. I will be available by telephone if needed.
Harden has his share of absences during his short tenure here especially during critical periods, which in the case of the City of Port Orange in the last several years is perpetual. The speculative question considering that Harden hired Mr. Rosen on a 7 month contractual basis to August, which is the tentative extended term of Harden’s interim assignment, is will Harden spring on us his need to cut his three thousand dollar a week Victorian mansion renovation subsidy project job short for pressing personal reasons? This old man has sure made a lot of imprudent decisions in his hiring practices that are contrary to civil service rules and the progressive philosophy that is the hallmark of virtuous organizations and potentially left his share of landmines that he will probably in this lifetime not be held accountable for. If he scidadles prematurely and leaves us in the hands of his questionable escape plan Mr. Rosen, who on the city council is going to be responsible for this next chapter in the rape of the citizens, the employees, and the organization namely the City Port Orange? Stay tuned for the results of management by dementia.

I feel you brother. I think the council has been importing these hacks out of desperation with the mindset that sooner or later they will find a keeper, but if they are unsuccessful that they will have an unlimited supply of future scapegoats to blame for their own lack of oversight. Most of the new administrators they are hiring have never been true stakeholders in any of their past assignments and in many cases have been fired from their last jobs and are willing to prostitute themselves in any manner the mayor or administrative services director requires. This is consistent with the Allen Green retrogation of the City of Port Orange. Allen Green and Don Burnette treat the Port Orange workforce like a discarded construction project or asset that they are fully depreciating for tax purposes. What a regressive model that is devoid of any innovation or progression.
