Cypress Head Golf Course 4:43 PM
From: Janice Cornelius
To: Roberts, Margaret

Ms. Roberts,
I sent a public records request on behalf of the Volusia County Property Appraiser’s Office on December 19, 2014, but have not received a response. I was wondering if you received my initial e-mail below.
Jan Cornelius, C.F.E.
Chief Deputy Property Appraiser

Dear Ms. Roberts,
As you may be aware, there as been an inquiry into whether the Cypress Head Golf Course is entitled to a tax exemption. While we know the property is owned by the city, Mr. Gilreath, has asked me to contact you regarding any agreements the city may have with third party entity’s in the running of the golf course or any of it’s facilities (restaurant, pro shop, etc.).
Once an inquiry is made, we are obligated to follow up and review the circumstance of the complaint. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in reference to this matter.
Sincerely,
Jan Cornelius, C.F.E.
Chief Deputy Property Appraiser

Not even any professional courtesy from Ms. Roberts here.
I would fully expect her to ignore a common citizen request but not this ! Very embarrassing and unprofessional.
I and many others eyes are opening and beginning to suspect that City Attorney Roberts may be yet another high paid city staffer pulling in a six figure salary she is not earning. Not to mention she is a leftover crony from the Parker era.
Will we ever gain any ground in this city ?
