Today I was shocked to watch one of the Videos on your Blog site above.
First the City Attorney makes the announcement that she reports to work at 12 Noon Does she have another job or practice?
Then she ask for council permission to hire one of her buddy Lawyers at $1,000 a day ($125/hour). Will that lawyer also report to work at 12 noon?
Only councilman Ford had any problem with the above event. All the other councilmen and mayor just sat on their hands like bumps on a log. They must be satisfies that it takes 40 days for the city attorneys office to review any legal contracts.
In private practice she would soon be out of business.

Yes, but you must understand that she goes back many years with the mayor and is the one keeping his ass out of a jam with the Halifax Paving excavation contract debacle, his role in the inception of the failed reuse lake RAMP project, and his leadership or lack thereof in where we are today and how we got here with the Sensus metering debacle. She has possibly kept him out of jail and so he is forever in her debt.. Not to mention she knows too much about his past shenanigans for him to deny her anything and piss her off. If he lets Maggie have what she wants then mums the word.

In regards to the proposed soft cost bonding for Golf Course renovations
In most states it is prohibited (illegal) for local governments to float a bond to fund any annual budget expenses.
Is that not the case in Florida?
