Below I have a link and attached an ad in the News Journal. This was discussed and voted by the EAB to recommend some sort of local collection of common household items that are commonly being improperly disposed of and polluting our city.
This ad shows the type of effort that a city can participate in. To my knowledge nothing as been done to promote any effort in our city.
Our disposal fees at the land fill fund the enterprise fund for the landfill, we already pay for this county service why not make it accessible.
So many items are thrown out with the house trash and added to mount trashmore by default. It is suspected that the recent sickness and or death of birds including protected Eagles in Marion County may have been related to improperly disposed pesticides.
