Thanks to Pat from Hank. I am happy to have access to the same information the city manager of Port Orange has.
Hopefully, we can keep our citizens informed this way. — hank

Great to see this stuff again even if it is without the attachments.
This batch of emails contains at least one more besides Sonya’s that I expect the City Manager would rather not make public. In it, reference is made to someone who appears to be asking for a credit on their Stormwater Drainage assessment. This is probably because they own a piece of commercial property in the city and have built on-site retention on that property. According to existing ordinances they are entitled to a reduction in their fees based on the amount of that retention IF THEY ASK FOR IT!
Can you imagine the distress at City Hall if a bunch of businessmen suddenly showed up asking for the reductions in fees to which they are legally entitled? Why isn’t our business friendly Chamber of Commerce all over this one?

Ever heard the phrase, “Evil triumphs when good men do nothing?”
It’s great reading these thoughtful literate posts from so many writers..some linguistically dense stuff. Civic involvement. A noble cause. Questioning authority. An American bedrock democratic value….community involvement. If it’s to be, its up to me.
A mindset my little Mama insisted on.
And then there are those who decry that…. Hmmmm…wonder whose side they are on?
