HOW MANY CITY OFFICIALS DOES IT TAKE TO STARE AT A PROBLEM?
.The photo below is a view of a city water fountain monument at the corner of Dunlawton & Ridgewood. The water fountain at this monument is in a state of disrepair and has not worked for an extended period of time. Maybe someone accidentally unplugged the cord from the wall outlet, or perhaps the city forgot to pay their water bill.
Nonetheless, the new City Manager recently gave his senior staff instructions “GET IT FIXED”. And as a result, several senior city officials quickly responded to the scene. As also seen in this photo surrounding the empty water spigot .

Does anyone care to take a wild guess at the total city payroll in this photo? $$$$
I wonder if the person who took this pictures stopped and asked what they were doing? This is not a waste of resources unless you know what they are talking about, but of course this site in its wisdom decides that this is a good picture to show. I know that the city is the “Evil Empire” on this site but I would rather have actual news than a picture of people standing around talking about what we don’t know, and it honestly might take that many people to make sure the project is done correctly.
I assume that the person who took the pic knows how to fix a fountain and all that goes into it so maybe it is more than needs to be there.
^^^^^^^^ What he said ^^^^^^^ Excellent point !
Guarranteed its more for city workers than a private company.
Please tell me how you know that? Don’t use the “because I know that city employees are overpaid” give me facts. If you want to make a statement back it up! I do not like the politics of some people on this site but I do have respect for them because they at least do the research. This is why pictures like this and comments like this bring the site down. I still come to the site because I want to see what people that I do not always agree with have to say and why they think the way they do. It is the only way for us to communicate and get a better understanding as to how we as citizens can make the city better
Not a putdown of city workers in any way. Govt is by its own nature inefficeint at business. Govt should stick to governing and leave business to business. The problem is the nature of the beast not the nature of the individuals.
PO Oldtimer did not answer Interested’s question!
I will get back to you on that.
