Wait til November….. The current longstanding Mayor needs the support to his left and right. He struggles with reading and understanding agenda items and does not even use a computer or tablet but a binder still.
This idea and the rationale makes perfect sense from The City Manager. Make it happen !
Even better yet – have the City Clerk read the agenda items or as Daytona Beach does at least the most articulate Council member. Bring us out of the 1970’s and 80’s when the current Mayor is sent out to pasture.

The city manager and the attorney should not be sitting on the Dias during official meetings it should be for council persons only . They should be sitting in front of the Dias just like our city clerk and most council meetings throughout this country. Jake is correct on this one.

In the last Port Orange City Council meeting, it looked to me like Don was pleased being seated next to the Mayor.
